First Visit
You will likely be greeted by our friendly staff on your way in. Say hello!
Should I do anything special before coming in?
To make sure you have the best possible results, please follow these guidelines:
Eat in moderation - don't come hungry or over-full.
Do not consume alcoholic beverages or any other recreational drugs before your visit. Continue to take your prescription medications and bring them with you so we can consider them in individualizing your treatment.
Try to get a good night's sleep (8 hours) and plan something restful after your treatment.
Plan to wear loose fitting clothing and bring shorts if you have any lower body symptoms.
Bring any test results (MRI, XRAY, Blood tests, CT Scans) that you can find.
Your first visit will take approximately 1 hour. Any future visits will take 30 to 45 minutes. Most people experience a variety of post-session feelings, which range from energized to a deep sense of relaxation and well-being. You may feel tired after your treatment. Your body just did a strenuous "healing workout." Drink lots of fluids and allow your body to continue the detoxification process. Pay attention to subtle changes in your body and inform us on your next visit. This will allow her to monitor and customize your next treatment for best results.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your first appointment to take care of the initial check-in process and to start your appointment on time. Also, if you have a chance please glance at our Office Policies.
Will my insurance cover acupuncture/chiropractic?
Do I need a referral?
Many health insurance companies in California cover Acupuncture/Chiropractic, because they are recognizing it's benefit. However, we'll have to review your policy to determine your exact coverage.
An Acupuncturist/Chiropractic is considered a Primary Care Provider, so a referral isn't necessary. However, some insurance companies require a referral in order for the treatment to be reimbursed.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments necessary will depend upon your condition. If your symptoms are chronic or acute, we will work with you to find the right course of treatment for your health and budgetary concerns; however, many people notice results immediately.
