What Brings You Here?

Neck pain can show up
in different ways.

You do not need to know the cause before your first visit. Tell us what you feel and what you want to get back to doing.

Stiffness & muscle tension

  • Tightness across the neck or shoulders
  • Discomfort turning your head
  • Feeling stiff after working or sleeping

Neck & shoulder discomfort

  • Aching into the upper back
  • Soreness around the shoulder blades
  • Neck tension alongside headaches

Pain traveling into the arm

  • Pain extending toward the arm or hand
  • Tingling or numbness
  • Changes that may involve a nerve and need assessment

Muscles, joints, discs, and nerves can all contribute to neck symptoms. Work habits, an awkward sleep position, an injury, or age-related changes may play a part. Your examination helps us understand the pattern.

A Thoughtful First Step

Understand the pattern.
Plan the care.

Your visit starts with a conversation about when symptoms began, what makes them better or worse, and how they affect your day.

We also discuss previous injuries, treatments, medications, and your health history so recommendations fit the whole picture.

Comfort matters. You can ask questions, share concerns, and discuss your preferences before treatment begins.

  1. Listen & evaluate

We assess movement and relevant examination findings. Depending on your symptoms, this may include strength, sensation, or reflex checks.

  2. Choose appropriate options

We explain what may help, the expected benefits and risks, and whether imaging or another medical evaluation is appropriate.

  3. Reassess your progress

We track changes in comfort, movement, and everyday activities, then adjust your plan based on your response.

Coordinated Care

Different tools.
One personalized plan.

Care may include one approach or a combination. The goal is to address your needs without making every visit the same.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture may help relieve neck pain. We select points and a needle approach based on your examination, sensitivity, and treatment goals.

Our practice uses eight needle sizes, allowing us to tailor the experience to your comfort.

Chiropractic care

Chiropractic care may include joint mobilization, manual techniques, or instrument-assisted care when appropriate.

Your clinician explains the options and discusses benefits, risks, and alternatives. Neck manipulation is optional.

Myofascial release

Hands-on soft-tissue care focuses on muscle tension and comfort. Techniques may include trigger point work, MRT, deep tissue, or acupressure.

It is often integrated with acupuncture and chiropractic care, with pressure adjusted to your needs.

Explore myofascial release

Your plan may also include movement guidance or other services, such as cupping , when appropriate. Treatment recommendations depend on your examination and response; outcomes vary.

Between Visits

Small changes.
More comfortable days.

Simple habits can support your care. We can help you adapt these ideas to your symptoms and daily routine.

Change positions

Take regular breaks from prolonged sitting or looking down. Bring your screen closer to eye level and relax your shoulders.

Move gently

Use comfortable, easy neck movements rather than forcing a stretch. Stop if movement brings on new pain, tingling, or dizziness.

Support your rest

Choose a pillow that supports a comfortable neck position. Notice whether your sleep setup leaves you stiff in the morning.

Your Questions, Answered

Before your first visit.

Should I book acupuncture or chiropractic care?

Either can be a starting point, depending on your needs and preferences. If you are unsure, call 909-276-7168 and we can help you choose an initial appointment. Your clinician will discuss appropriate options after evaluating you.

Do I have to have my neck adjusted?

No. Let us know your preferences before treatment. Depending on your examination, options may include mobilization, instrument-assisted techniques, acupuncture, or soft-tissue care. We discuss benefits, risks, and alternatives with you.

Do I need an X-ray or MRI first?

Not everyone needs imaging before starting care. Your history and examination help determine whether imaging or a medical referral is appropriate. Bring any existing reports you would like us to review.

What if I have tingling or pain going down my arm?

These symptoms can involve a nerve and should be evaluated. Tell us when they started and whether they are changing. New or worsening weakness, numbness, or balance problems need prompt medical assessment.

How many visits will I need?

There is no fixed number for everyone. Recommendations depend on the cause and duration of your symptoms, examination findings, goals, and response to care. We reassess rather than promise a set result.

Can acupuncture, chiropractic, and myofascial release be combined?

Yes, when appropriate. Myofascial release is often integrated with acupuncture or chiropractic care at our practice. Your clinician recommends a combination based on your needs and comfort.

Can I use my insurance?

Coverage depends on your plan, benefits, and the services provided. Submit your information for verification before scheduling. Standalone massage sessions are self-pay; coverage for integrated soft-tissue care varies.
